I started my career by joining the family run electrical contracting business in Cornwall carrying out installation and maintenance works in everything from private houses, social housing accomodation and new build luxury homes to schools, hospitals and farms.
Later I moved to a management role managing those same works and contracts and carrying out the electrical design for projects as well. I became the company's NICEIC "Qualifying Supervisor", which meant I held overall responsibility for the workmanship of the entire workforce (over 50 electricians) carrying out every sort of electrical work imaginable in every environment from a house to a swimming pool, from a food factory to a hospital. In order to successfully carry out this role for over 12 years, together with the design work, I was required to maintain exceptionally high technical knowledge.
Latterly, I took over the overall running of the business employing almost 100 staff by then and my clients ranged from private home owners and local farmers through to Health Authority Executives and national Main Contractors.
Why the change.......
A sudden death in the family caused a re-think of our lives and a review of plans for the future and we took the decision to move to North Devon to be near to family there and somewhere I had spent a lot of time over the years. Part of the plan included me picking up the tools again and taking my vast experience, not just electrically, but also of customers' needs, whether private individuals or businesses, and offer what I hope you will find to be a service that is uniquely professional, friendly and efficient and one that caters precisely for your needs with minimal interruption, effort and hassle on your behalf.
